SPB TV launches a paid subscription for Android
Saint-Petersburg, Russia, November 14, 2013 - SPB TV, one of the world's leading providers of end-to-end OTT TV, IP TV and mobile TV solutions for video content delivery to multi-screen devices, announced the start of paid subscriptions for the Android OS.
Subscriptions for ‘Premium Pack’, as well as for numerous channels a la carte, will be available to users of the most popular operating system in the world, Android. Users of Android in Russia and the CIS will get access to more than 30 popular channels, such as MGM, КHL TV, Tiji, Gulli, MCM Top, Moya Planeta, Nauka 2.0, Amedia 1 and many others. Nash Futbol, Nautical channel, Mat’ i ditya are offered a la carte. Throughout the CIS countries, the list of paid channels may slightly differ.
The Company’s intention is to broaden the paid content for owners of devices that utilize the Android OS, both in the territory of the CIS and abroad.
Now more than 13 mln. people use the SPB TV application on Android. From the 14th of November 2013, inhabitants of Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries can subscribe, by downloading the application from the company’s site, from Samsung Apps or from Google Store.
